Heinrich Brändli (politician)

Heinrich Brändli (born September 23, 1900 in Wädenswil ; † March 25, 1981 in Zurich ; resident in Wädenswil) was a Swiss politician ( BGB ) and president of the Northeast Swiss Milk Association .

biography

Brändli was 1934, the council elected by Wädenswil, where he remained for 24 years, including 12 as mayor . From 1935 he was a member of the Zurich Cantonal Council for 30 years and President of the Council in 1952/53. In 1950 he became cantonal party president of the farmers, trade and citizens' party (BGB). In 1951 he was elected to the National Council , to which he was a member until 1967.

Brändli was a trained master farmer. In 1939 he was elected to the board of the Northeast Swiss Milk Association. From 1955 to 1971 he presided over the association, where he also served as the executive committee. From 1951 to 1967 Brändli was a board member of Zürcher Kantonalbank .
