Heinrich Demand

Heinrich Demand (born May 30, 1902 in Eickel or Wanne ; † April 16, 1974 ) was a German politician ( SPD ). From 1950 to 1958 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

education and profession

After elementary school , Heinrich Demand began working as a miner in 1916 . In 1918 he became a union member. Before 1933 and after 1945 he took part in trade union courses and became Labor Director of Bergwerke Königsborn-Werne AG.

politics

Demand became a member of the SPD in 1924. From 1932 to 1933 he was a city councilor in Kamen . After 1946 he was again active in regional party and trade union bodies of the SPD and IG Bergbau . He was elected to the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament as a direct candidate for the SPD in constituency 112 (Unna-Nord) in the second and third electoral terms; he was a member of parliament from July 5, 1950 to July 12, 1958.
