Heinrich H. Messler

Heinrich H. Messler (born February 24, 1950 in Cologne ) is a German physician and specialist in orthopedics and trauma surgery , special orthopedic surgery and physiotherapy . He teaches as a professor at the medical faculty of the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn .

Life

After studying medicine at the Universities of Frankfurt, Cologne and Düsseldorf, he completed his years of assistance in Cologne and Zurich. From 1982 he worked as a senior physician at the St. Franziskus Hospital in Cologne-Ehrenfeld. In 1988 , Messler completed his habilitation in orthopedics with a thesis on bone metabolism.

Since 1991, Meßler has been chief physician at the orthopedic clinic at the Neuwerk Ordens Hospital in Mönchengladbach . Since 2005 he was also medical director there. His main areas of focus in the surgical field included joint replacement operations, and other areas of specialization were conservative orthopedics and spinal, hand and foot surgery. Under his leadership, orthopedics at the Neuwerk hospital has developed into a focus on care in the field of hip and knee endoprostheses . Over 700 artificial joints are implanted every year.

Meßler has been President of the Association for German Shepherds (SV) since 2015 .
