biography

Hollmann was a wine merchant in Bremen.

He was a member of the BDV. Since the Hollmann Grabau Group disliked the political orientation of the strongly economically oriented BDV, it joined the FDP in February 1947. When the Hollmann Grabau Group returned to the BDV in 1951 , it was possible in Bremen that the Liberals united in the FDP as a common party.

From April 1946 to 1947 he was a member of the appointed and then the first elected Bremen citizenship and was active in deputations of the citizenship. After several BDV MPs had converted to the FDP, he was FDP parliamentary group chairman from February 13, 1947.
