Heinrich Jentgens

Heinrich Jentgens (born December 6, 1912 in Huchem-Stammeln , † February 3, 2004 in Bergisch Gladbach ) was a German physician.

Life

Jentgens studied medicine and in 1937 at the University of Cologne to Dr. med. PhD. From 1947 to 1980 he was chief physician at the Municipal Lung Clinic Cologne-Merheim . In 1974 he was appointed adjunct professor.

He has published several scientific papers in his specialist area of pulmonary medicine and thoracic surgery . He was the editor of the standard work on pulmonary tuberculosis . He was an honorary member of the West German Society for Pneumology and a corresponding member of the Royal Academy of Medicine, Valencia.

In 1953 he was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Nicola Cardinal Canali and invested in Cologne Cathedral on December 8, 1953 by Lorenz Jaeger , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy .
