Heinrich Lützenkirchen
Heinrich Lützenkirchen (born November 29, 1909 in what is now the Leverkusen district of Bürrig ; † March 11, 1986 in Leverkusen) was Lord Mayor of Leverkusen from 1961 to 1964 and in 1979.
Life
Lützenkirchen became a member of the school and housing committee in 1947, where he represented the CDU . In 1956 he was a council member of the city of Leverkusen until 1974 and from 1974 he was a representative of the district government II in Bürrig.
For many years Lützenkirchen was the deputy chairman of the works council of Agfa Gevaert AG. He also took over the chairmanship of the works council for a while.

- 1979: Ring of Honor of the City of Leverkusen
- 1980: Federal Cross of Merit, 1st class
- The sports field in Bürrig, where the "TuS 1887 Roland Bürrig" plays his home games, is named after him to this day.
