Heinrich Ludwig Banck (born March 5, 1826 , † June 19, 1895 ) was a Magdeburg banker and merchant.

Among other things, Banck was the owner of larger lands north of the city of Magdeburg. On this site, which today belongs to Magdeburg-Neue Neustadt , the Bancksche Siedlung , initially named after Banck, was built in the 20th century , between 1929 and 1939, and later renamed the Curie-Siedlung . The main street of the settlement initially bore his name ( Banckstraße ) and was then called Curiestraße during the GDR era .

A villa built in this area at Reichelstrasse No. 23 after his death around 1900 is still called the Bancksche Villa today.
