Heinrich Ludwig Brakenhoff (also: Ludwig Brakenhoff ; * before 1820, † after 1873) was a German teacher and school principal , superintendent of the orphanage in Goslar , writers and textbook - author .

Life

At the beginning of the Kingdom of Hanover, Brakenhoff worked as a teacher for August Voss , the later founder of the Vosswerke Sarstedt , at the school in Sarstedt as interim rector, before he took up the position of inspector of the Goslar orphanage on April 1, 1832. As early as the 1840s he had become known nationwide through various writings, including the fourth edition of his New Children's Friend , a textbook and reader including a hymn book for elementary schools .
