Heinrich Scheibengraf

Heinrich Scheibengraf (born July 1, 1910 in Graz - Andritz , † September 29, 1996 in Bruck an der Mur ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). He was 1945-1949 member of the Bundesrat , 1949 Member of the state parliament of Styria and 1962-1975 Member of the National Council .

Scheibengraf attended elementary and community school and learned the trades of locksmith and lathe operator. He was subsequently employed as a vocational school teacher and became operations and department manager at the Böhler & Co AG brothers in Kapfenberg . He was also appointed to the high school board. In the political field he was active as a local councilor in Kapfenberg from 1945, and between 1949 and 1963 he held the office of mayor of this community. He also represented the SPÖ between December 19, 1945 and November 5, 1948 in the Federal Council , after which he was a member of the Styrian state parliament from June 8, 1949 to November 5, 1949 . Finally, on December 14, 1962, Scheibengraf moved to the National Council , to which he was a member until November 4, 1975. Scheibengraf was involved within the party as chairman of the SPÖ-Kapfenberg, was a member of the vocational school council from 1949 to 1954 and founder and chairman of the Mürzverband from 1965 to 1996.
