Heinrich Zobel

Heinrich Zobel , also Henrich Zobel (* before 1558 in Bremen , † after 1597, probably around 1615) was councilor and mayor in Bremen .

biography

The merchant Heinrich Zobel was elected to the Bremen council in 1583 and mayor in 1597. In 1591 he started his office as building owner at the St. Martini Church in Bremen, to which he donated a portal with an epitaph to the Neander house in 1597 . After Heinrich Zobel's death, his son Johann Zobel (1578–1631) was elected to the city council, and later also to the office of mayor.
