Heinrich von Jülich

Heinrich von Jülich (* in the 13th century; † before July 14, 1343) was papal envoy and canon in various dioceses.

Life

Heinrich von Jülich was an illegitimate son of Count Gerhard VII von Jülich (1297–1328). He traveled on behalf of Pope John XXII. who resided in Avignon . Heinrich was rewarded with numerous benefits for this . On June 2, 1323 he received a papal promise for a canonical in Münster . In February 1327 Heinrich was given the cathedral mechanics in Halberstadt by the Pope. On August 8, 1327 Pope John gave all patriarchs, bishops, archbishops and princes the order to receive Heinrich well, as he was traveling on his behalf. On March 12, 1328 he received a promise from the Pope to praise the cathedral in Fritzlar. A week later a Utrecht canon was accepted. In the dispute between Archbishop Heinrich of Cologne and Count Rainald of Geldern , Heinrich was the mediator on behalf of the Pope and, on July 27, 1332, as papal envoy to the Austrian Duke Albrecht II . On July 14, 1343, the Cologne priest Richardi de Tuycio asked for the transfer of the canonical to St. Cassius in Bonn, which had become free through Heinrich's death .
