Heinrich von Wuthenau

Heinrich von Wuthenau (* 1598 ; † April 29, 1652 in Großpaschleben , Anhalt ) was a German administrative officer and occasional poet of the Baroque period.

Life

Heinrich von Wuthenau is the son of Bernhard von Wuthenau (1534-late 1596) and his wife Magdalena von Katte (1554-1621). After over two years of inheritance disputes, Wuthenau takes over the property of his deceased uncle Heinrich von Wuthenau on September 1st. In 1618 Wuthenau married Sibylla von Bindauf on Großpaschleben . His daughter Magdalene Barbara von Wuthenau was born on April 16, 1640 in Großpaschleben.

At the age of 36, Wuthenau was appointed to the court by Prince Ludwig I. von Anhalt-Köthen as war commissioner. Among other things, this position makes it necessary for the family to move to Koethen. In the same year, Prince Ludwig accepted him into the Fruitful Society . He gives him the company name of the swimmer and as a motto above . In the Köthener society register, Wuthenau is recorded under the number 244 with its emblem duckweed on a pond ( Lemna minor L. ). There you will also find the rhyme law, which Wuthenau wrote on the occasion of his entry:

The water lentils, since one catches the ducks,

Heinrich von Wuthenau died on April 29, 1652 in Großpaschleben at the age of 54.
