Heinz-Erich Gödecke (* 1944 ) is a German jazz and improvisation musician ( trombone , also didgeridoo , Tibetan horns, composition ) who is also active as a visual artist.

Live and act

Gödecke, whose main job was an engineer, also worked in the Hamburg avant-garde scene; After Tom Lord , he was involved in eight jazz recording sessions between 1988 and 1999, with the Cecil Taylor Workshop Ensemble ( Legba Crossing ), Anthony Braxton's Creative Music Ensemble ( Ton Art Hamburg , 1991), with Vladamir Rezitsky and his jazz group Arkhangelsk , the Moscow Composers Orchestra ( Life at City Garden , 1994) and in 1999 in the NDR-Studio with Evan Parker / TonArt Ensemble. In the 1990s he toured a. a. in Armenia, Russia and China. In this context he participated in the project Polyphony of the World by the Russian composer Alexander Bakshi , which was premiered on the occasion of the 2001 Theater Olympics in Moscow. In 2007 he participated in the Second Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art with an installation at the National Center of Contemporary Arts, Moscow.

Gödecke was chairman of the Hamburg Jazz Office. As an author he worked a. a. with Armenian music. He also worked as a studio musician in the production of radio plays for the ADR. Gödecke lives in Gribow / Vorpommern and Hamburg. Most recently (2018) he performed in a duo with Vladimir Tarasov .
