Heinz-Jürgen Kronberg (born June 15, 1959 in Erfurt ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

education and profession

After completing secondary school in Erfurt , he completed an apprenticeship as an electrician with a high school diploma and was also active as such. In 1986 he trained as a preacher at the Evangelical Academy in Magdeburg (today Wittenberg ). In 1992 he completed his second distance learning course as a social worker FH. In 1990 he was appointed head of the social welfare office of the Erfurt district administration. In 1998 he successfully completed the general management program at the European Business School INSEAD in Paris-Fontainebleau . He has been an independent entrepreneur since 1998 .

Political commitment

In October 1989 Kronberg became a member of the Democratic Awakening group , where he became deputy chairman of the Erfurt-Land district in November 1989 and district manager from January 1990. He represented the DA at the round table in the Erfurt-Land district . In August 1990 he became a member of the CDU . From 1990 to 1998 he was a member of the German Bundestag , where from 1994 he was deputy chairman of the Thuringia regional group and a member of the board of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group. He was directly elected in 1990 and 1994 in the Weimar - Apolda - Erfurt-Land constituency.

In the economic council of the CDU eV. from 2004 to 2010 he was state chairman in Thuringia .
