Heinz-Theo Wagner (* 1959 ) is a German business IT specialist and has been Professor of Management and Innovation at the private German Graduate School of Management and Law (GGS) in Heilbronn since 2008 .

Life

After high school and military service, Wagner studied geography with a focus on economics at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen , graduating as a geographer in 1985. After completing an additional course in operations research at RWTH Aachen University , he moved to Siemens AG in 1987 .

Part-time Wagner studied economics at the FernUniversität Gesamtthochschule Hagen with a focus on marketing, operations research and business informatics with a degree in business administration in 1999 and also completed a doctorate at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, also part-time. In 2006 he received his doctorate in the field of business informatics on the subject of " A Resource-based Perspective on IT Business Alignment and Firm Performance: Theoretical Foundation and Empirical Evidence " (summa cum laude).

When he moved to Siemens AG in 1987, Wagner initially took on functions in the management of complex projects, including crisis management, and as a senior consultant. a. for IT topics and business organization topics. He then led a consulting team and worked as a guest auditor in corporate auditing. Since 2006, Wagner has been the Operation Director in a medium-sized company in the aviation industry, responsible for the reorganization of business processes including SAP integration, setting up reporting systems and change management.

In 2008 he followed a call to the GGS in Heilbronn (until 2009: Heilbronn business school (hbs)). Wagner holds a professorship for management and innovation and deals with teaching and research in the areas of innovation management and its organization, the role of corporate networks and information technology support.

Wagner is the author of articles in conferences and scientific journals as well as books.
