Heinz-Werner Lenz (born August 17, 1957 in Koblenz ) is a German truck racing driver .

Career

Heinz-Werner Lenz drove his first race in 1991 in Zolder (Belgium). He has been driving in the European Truck Racing Championship since 1992 .

He drove in classes C , super race trucks and race trucks and achieved positions 1 to 12.

From 1997 to 1999, after Curt Göransson, he was the second truck racing driver in the history of the sport to win the championship in his class for three consecutive years. The third racing driver to win the title hat-trick so far is Jochen Hahn (2013).

Together with his son Sascha Lenz , who has dedicated himself to this sport since 2006, he drives Mercedes racing trucks for the SL Truck Racing Team . The 1938 Mercedes long-nosed truck was manufactured in Brazil and has a displacement of just under 12 liters and 5.5 tons of 850 hp .
