Jochen Hahn (born April 18, 1974 in Altensteig ) is a German truck racing driver for the Hahn Racing team .

Jochen Hahn has been racing in the European Truck Racing Championship since 2000 . He took over the steering of the racing truck from his father and current team boss, Konrad Hahn. He took part in the European Championship from 1996 and achieved fifth place in the overall ranking in 1999 with three podium finishes. However, after a serious accident on the Circuit Zolder , he ended his driving career and handed the driver's seat over to his son.

By 2007, that drove Team Hahn Racing with a Mercedes truck, but abdicated in 2008, after the departure of Mercedes out of the truck racing with a truck of MAN on. From 2017 the Hahn Racing team will compete in an Iveco Stralis.

After finishing the season in 3rd to 6th place from 2000 to 2010, Jochen Hahn won the European Championship title in the FIA European Truck Racing Championship in 2011 , 2012 and 2013 . This means that the race truck of the third hat-trick European champion in the history of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship would also be number 1 in the 2014 season. Before him, only Curt Göransson (European champion in class B in 1988, 1989 and 1990) and Heinz-Werner Lenz (European champion in race truck class 1997, 1998 and 1999) managed to win the championship in the same class three times in a row . Even Steve Parrish won in 1992, 1993 and 1994, three European titles in truck racing, but not in the same class. If he won Class C in 1992 and 1993, it was the Super Race Truck class in 1994. Since the super race truck class was abolished at the start of the 2006 season, no one has managed to secure the title hat trick before Jochen Hahn and his team.

In addition, he was voted the most popular truck racer by the spectators at the 2013 Truck Grand Prix at the Nürburgring for the sixth time in a row.

In 2014 Hahn was ousted from the throne by Norbert Kiss and finished the season as Vice European Champion ahead of Antonio Albacete . The 2015 season was clearly dominated by Norbert Kiss, while Adam Lacko and Hahn fought for second place. The decision was made in the last race of the final in Le Mans: Jochen Hahn finished the season in third place just behind Adam Lacko and the old and new European champion Norbert Kiss.

In 2016 , Jochen Hahn started with the number 3 and ended the season 55 points ahead of second-placed Adam Lacko and 202 points ahead of third-placed René Reinert again as European truck racing champion, thus driving the fourth title in a truck European racing championship . So he still lacks a win to catch up with Steve Parrish (5 truck racing titles). However, he is already on a par with Curt Göransson (4 truck racing titles) and has surpassed the multiple champions Antonio Albacete , Slim Borgudd , Rod Chapman , Gerd Körber , Heinz-Werner Lenz and Richard Walker (3 titles each).

In 2017 , the Hahn Racing team with racing driver Jochen Hahn started after nine years on MAN with an Iveco racing truck (again starting number 1) and became vice European champion.

In 2018 , Jochen Hahn was again European truck racing champion, drawing level with truck racing legend Steve Parrish (5 truck racing titles) from the United Kingdom .

With the renewed (now sixth) title win at the 2019 European Truck Racing Championship , he even surpasses all other European Truck Racing Champions and thus becomes a legend himself. In the 35-year history of the European Truck Racing Championship , no other racing driver has ever clinched so many titles.
