Spain GP in the Jarama Ring 2013

The FIA European Truck Racing Championship 2013 comprised ten events with four races each in Europe. It was the 29th European Truck Racing Championship ever, and the eighth since it was awarded the title “Championship” by the FIA in 2006 (previously the championship only had the status of a “Cup” ).

Two-time defending champion Jochen Hahn won the championship for the third time in a row, ahead of Antonio Albacete and Markus Oestreich . For the third time in the 29-year history of this motorsport event, the European champion from 2011, 2012 and now also in 2013 achieved the title hat trick in the same class. Before him, only Curt Göransson (European champion in class B from 1988, 1989 and 1990) and Heinz-Werner Lenz (European champion in the race truck class 1997, 1998 and 1999) have achieved this.

Even Steve Parrish won in 1992, 1993 and 1994, three consecutive European title in truck racing not, but in the same class. If he won Class C in 1992 and 1993, it was the Super Race Truck class in 1994.

In the team classification, the Truck Sport Lutz Bernau team with Antonio Albacete and Markus Oestreich won ahead of the second-placed Castrol Team Hahn Racing with Jochen Hahn and Mika Mäkinen and the third-placed MKR Technology team with Adam Lacko and Markus Bösiger .
