Heinz-Werner Schmunz

Heinz-Werner Schmunz (* 1952 / 53 ) is a former German basketball player . He played for SSV Hagen in the basketball league .

career

Schmunz was part of the Bundesliga team at SSV Hagen from 1971 to 1981 . In 1974 the center player became German champions with the SSV.

Schmunz worked professionally as a teacher, worked as a trainer at TuS Breckerfeld and has been involved in the Special Olympics since the beginning of the 2000s and, among other things, took over the position of basketball coordinator for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia at the Association Special Olympics Germany . At TSV Hagen 1860, he founded the basketball team TSV Hagen Unified in 2010, in which mentally handicapped and non-handicapped players play together.
