Heinz-Wolfgang Kuhn

Heinz-Wolfgang Kuhn (born March 2, 1934 in Coburg ) is a German theologian .

Life

Kuhn was born in 1934 as the son of a Protestant pastor. He studied Protestant theology at the Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg and was established in 1963 with a thesis final expectation and present salvation in the community of Qumran songs for Dr. theol. PhD . In Heidelberg he became a member of the Christian student union Heidelberger Wingolf . In 1969 he completed his habilitation with the work Older Collections in the Gospel of Mark and in 1973 became professor of New Testament theology there. From 1972 to 1980 he was a deputy professor at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg, the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen . From 1986 to 1999 he was a professor at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In 1991 he took over the co-direction of the Bethsaida Project (Israel). Kuhn is married and has three children. Wolfgang Fenske is one of his students .
