Heinz Kadow

Heinz Kadow (born February 28, 1934 ) is a German athletics official and trainer.

Life

Kadow graduated from the German University of Physical Culture (DHfK) in Leipzig in 1957  with his diploma thesis "Technique and tactics of individual defense against basketball throws". In 1964, his doctoral thesis (subject: "Military physical training in the National People's Army and the preparation of army members for general modern combat: on the principles of a new training program in military physical training") was also accepted at the DHfK.

In 1966, together with Günter Lammich , he brought out the book “Games for Football Training”, which was later reprinted several times. In essays in the magazine Theory and Practice of Competitive Sports, he also dealt with training science topics, children's and youth sports, the role of the trainer and analyzes of athletics competitions at the highest level.

1985 Kadow became general secretary of the German Association for Athletics of the GDR . After the end of the GDR, he worked as an athletics trainer in South Korea .
