Heinz Oppermann

Heinz Ernst August Oppermann (born March 16, 1882 in Hanover ; † 1958 ) was a German manager in the rubber industry.

Life

After graduating from Realgymnasium I in Hanover, Heinz Oppermann studied chemistry at the universities of Würzburg, Berlin and Greifswald. In 1900 he became a member of the Corps Moenania Würzburg . In October 1905 he was promoted to Dr. phil. obtained his doctorate after taking the association examination. He then worked as a laboratory and industrial chemist in large-scale inorganic industry. Since 1908 he has held leading positions as a chemist in the rubber industry at home and abroad, including in the Bogatyr rubber factory in Russia. In 1915 he was exchanged from Russia to Germany as a civilian prisoner. In the rest of the First World War he took part as a war volunteer. After its end he was works manager in the rubber industry until 1920. In September 1920 he was appointed director of the Bremer Gummiwerke Roland AG in Bremen. Most recently he lived in Hanover.
