The Reichs Handbuch der Deutschen Gesellschaft , with the subtitle The Handbook of Personalities in Word and Pictures , was a handbook with biographical data on important living personalities in German society . Robert Volz was the main editor of the reference work published in two volumes in 1930 and 1931 by the Deutsches Wirtschaftsverlag in Berlin .

After a preface of the sociologist Ferdinand Tonnies be more than 2000 pages around 10,000 mostly with black and white - portrait photographs illustrated extensive biographies of the "carriers of culture , spirit , science , politics , economy and society of the advantages and interwar period", in their time of Publication of the book applicable positions, presented. In the professional groups, there is a clear predominance in favor of executive and supervisory boards of large companies.

The original editions of both volumes were printed by the Haenelschen Buchdruckerei in Magdeburg.
