Heinz Rosenkranz

Heinz Rosenkranz (* 28. November 1919 , † 3. July 2007 ) was a German politician of the SPD . As a stenographer , he was President of the German Stenographers Association (DStB).

Life

Rosenkranz had learned the trade of clerk in wholesale and retail. From 1945 to 1963 he worked as the head of a private commercial school in Wuppertal .

He was very active in stenographic organization. In 1945 he was re-founder and chairman of the Wuppertal Stenographers Association, a year later co-founder and board member of the West German Stenographers Association. In 1947 he co-founded the research and training center for shorthand and typing in Bayreuth, and from 1967 he became its chairman for over 20 years. In 1947 Rosenkranz co-founded the German Stenographers Association in Gelsenkirchen-Buer, from 1967 chairman of the system committee and from 1980 to 1986 president of the DStB. During this time he was also Vice President of the Intersteno regional group Germany. Because of his voluntary work in shorthand, he was awarded the Cross of Merit on Ribbon in 1986.

From 1979 to 1989 he was a city councilor for the SPD with a seat on the city council of Wuppertal .

Rosenkranz was a connoisseur of the German shorthand . He repeatedly advocated her in lectures and essays. But he was also interested in the history of shorthand and was a good expert on system inventors. Rosenkranz died at the age of 87.
