The Eitzenberger Weiher are a group of lakes near the Iffeldorfer district of Eitzenberg , north of Penzberg . The group consists of a nameless pond (sometimes referred to as the Ponholzer Weiher ), which drains into the Old Pond and the wooden pond , both of which feed the New Pond .

Water quality
The bathing water quality of the old pond was rated as excellent in 2015. In the past 30 years this has also always been the case - with the exception of a short period after heavy rain events.
Economical meaning
Leisure and Tourism
The Alte Weiher is used as a seaside resort. Around the lake there are around 18,000 m² of sunbathing lawns and a kiosk that is open when the weather is nice.
fishing
The moor ponds are also used by anglers , with white fish , carp , tench , pike , perch , pikeperch and eel to be found. Rainbow trout are also available in the Neuer Weiher .
