Heinz Singer

Heinz Singer (born February 22, 1923 ) is a former German handball player who competed for the Federal Republic.

Heinz Singer was the goalkeeper of the SV Hamburg Police , which dominated handball in Germany in the first half of the 1950s. From 1950 to 1953 the team won the German championship in indoor handball, from 1951 to 1953 and 1955 the Hamburg team won field handball.

From 1952 to 1956 Singer played in ten international field handball matches for the German national handball team . In 1952 and 1955 Singer won the world championship title with the German team.

For this, he and the German national handball team were awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf on June 28, 1953.
