Heinz Szymczak

Heinz Szymczak (born February 6, 1921 in Hamborn ; † September 3, 1994 ) was a German CDU politician .

education and profession

After elementary school, Heinz Szymczak attended the upper classes of the city of Hamborn, which he graduated with a secondary school leaving certificate. During his military service he was a major in the reserve (armed forces: air force). He then took up a degree at the Pedagogical Academy in Oberhausen. He passed the first state examination for teaching at elementary schools in 1947. He took up a job in elementary school service and was most recently rector of a community secondary school. In 1975 he was retired in accordance with the State Legal Status Act. From 1962 Szymczak was a lecturer for local politics at the Catholic Social Institute of the Archdiocese of Cologne.

Heinz Szymczak had been a member of the CDU since 1950. From 1953 to 1957 he was district spokesman for the Junge Union Mülheim / Ruhr. From 1955 to 1958 district spokesman for the Rhine-Ruhr district and at the same time a member of the state board. He acted as a member of the district committee of the CDU Bad Godesberg from 1960 to 1965 and from 1970 as a member of the district committee of the CDU Bonn. From 1973 to 1975 he worked as chairman of the CDU district association Bad Godesberg. He was a city councilor in Mülheim / Ruhr from 1956 to 1958. He was also a member of the district council of the Bonn district from 1960 to 1965. He was a city councilor in Bad Godesberg from 1964 to 1968. Here he was chairman of the school and culture committee.

From July 25, 1966 to May 28, 1980, Heinz Szymczak was a directly elected member of the 6th , 7th and 8th Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia for constituency 021 Bonn-Land I and constituency 021 Bonn-Stadt I.
