Heinz Vettermann

Heinz Vettermann (born March 25, 1957 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). Since 1993 he has been a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council .

education and profession

Heinz Vettermann attended elementary school in Brigittenau between 1963 and 1967 , then attended a federal high school in Alsergrund from 1967 to 1970 , before moving to a federal high school in Brigittenau from 1970 to 1971. He then attended the business school in Josefstadt between 1971 and 1974 .

From 1974 to 1976 Vettermann worked for the Creditanstalt - Bankverein, after which he did his community service with the Arbeiter-Samariterbund. From 1977 to 1981 he worked as a freelance consultant, between 1981 he worked for the Igef company in accounting and payroll accounting and from 1984 to 1987 Vettermann was a freelance behavioral trainer at the BFI and the Renner Institute. In 1988 he joined the SPÖ and was District Secretary of the SPÖ-Josefstadt until 1993.

politics

Heinz Vettermann was elected to the Vienna Landtag and City Council in 1993. He has been chairman of the SPÖ Josefstadt since 1994 and education spokesman for the SPÖ Vienna since 1999. Vettermann represents the SPÖ in the 18th legislative period in the Housing, Housing and Urban Renewal Committee and is chairman of the Committee for Education, Youth, Information and Sport.

Vettermann is also chairman of the wienXtra association. He is a member of the training commission of the working group for social psychology and group dynamics and works as a freelance rhetoric and communication trainer. He represents the new self-employed on the SVA board.

He has been practicing Zen since 1997 and is honorary general secretary of the Austrian Buddhist Religious Society.
