Heinz Weishaar

Heinz Weishaar (born June 25, 1932 - † July 6, 2019 ) was a German boxing trainer .

Life

Weishaar, who was a master of Baden as an amateur boxer, did an apprenticeship as a baker and later worked as a mechanic. In 1953 he was one of the co-founders of the Blau-Weiß Pforzheim boxing ring. He worked for a long time as a trainer at the Blau-Weiß boxing ring, and was also a Baden-Württemberg association trainer. Among his protégés were boxers like the future European champion René Weller , Markus Bott (1993 WBO world champion), Alexander Künzler , Walter Körper, Harald Körper and Hardy Ansorge. Six boxers became German champions under his leadership. Looking back, Weller said that he owed Weishaar “his entire career”. Weishaar was described by the multiple German master Künzler as "a very accurate person, very disciplined and obsessed with details". In 1996 Weishaar was awarded the citizen medal of the city ​​of Pforzheim . According to the Baden-Württemberg Boxing Association, Weishaar was "one of the most successful trainers in Germany".
