Heinz Wieczorek (born October 10, 1934 ) is a former German soccer player who played 52 games in the Oberliga West for Meidericher SV from Duisburg .

Career

Wieczorek moved up in the season 1953/54 in the league team of Meidericher SV. In the then top division of the regionally limited league system at the time, he was initially only called up sporadically. In 1955, his team rose for the first time in six years from the first division, with the gap to the top half of the table due to a very even distribution of points was only a few points. From the II. Division under the newly signed coach Hermann Lindemann, the direct rise should succeed. Lindemann offered the previously little used Wieczorek a regular place as an outside runner, which corresponds to today's midfield position . Team captain Kurt Neumann and Gerd Schönknecht were usually the other runners on the field. In this constellation, the immediate return to the highest league succeeded in 1956.

After the recovery, the Meidericher could immediately re-establish themselves in the league, with Wieczorek initially kept his regular place and missed a game in the course of the 1956/57 season. However, he subsequently lost this position. On March 27, 1957, the outside runner from Meiderich was appointed by the DFB to the U-23 national team at the international match against Belgium in Essen. In the 4-2 success of the DFB-Elf he formed the runner row in the first half with center runner Günter Graetsch and Hermann Nuber . By 1958 he played for Meidericher SV 52 league games and 26 second division games, each with two goals of his own, but could not be used afterwards due to a serious injury. Against this background, he tried unsuccessfully to return to the football field and finally had to end his career in 1960.
