Heinz Wohlrabe (born September 5, 1948 ) was a football player in the GDR Oberliga , the top division of the East German Football Association. There he played for the company sports club (BSG) Sachsenring Zwickau .

Wohlrabe played for the first time on October 5, 1968 in the GDR league. In the encounter of the 8th match day of the 1968/69 season Rot-Weiß Erfurt - Sachsenring Zwickau (1-0) he was used on the left defender position. Due to the temporary loss of several regular players, Wohlrabe came to 13 league appearances this season, which he completed with one exception over the full 90 minutes and mainly as a left defender. With the beginning of the 1969/70 season, this was his standard position, where he was now a regular in the Sachsenring team. In the seasons 1969/70 to 1973/74 Wohlrabe played 114 of the 130 Oberliga point games played.

Also in the first half of the 1974/75 season he was in the first nine league games in the Sachsenring team, after which he had to do an 18-month military service. On cup victory of his team in the summer of 1975, he had so only to a limited proportion, because he had played only the first three Cup matches in the competition in 1974/75. He also missed the successful 1975/76 European Cup , in which Sachsenring Zwickau advanced to the semi-finals.

In May 1976 Wohlrabe returned to the Sachsenring team and played regularly in his usual position until the winter of 1976. Due to injury, he was then only used sporadically until autumn 1977. It was not until the ninth day of the 1977/78 season that he was used again throughout the league. On June 3, 1978 Wohlrabe played for the last time in the GDR league. In the encounter on the 26th and final day of the 1977/78 season, BFC Dynamo - Sachsenring (5-1), he was substituted in for 45 minutes in the second half. So he had played 171 league games within eleven years, in which he scored three goals as a defensive player.
