Heating hose assembly scheme

Heating hoses are heated hoses for the transport of liquid media. They are used in adhesive technology , filling and dosing technology, the chemical , pharmaceutical and food industries , medical technology and mechanical engineering . Heating hoses are used to keep temperature-changing materials - such as hot glue , chocolate , gelatine , fats - at a flowable temperature during transport. Mainly liquid or viscous media are conveyed in heating hoses, sometimes with the use of pressure. In most cases, the temperature is constant along the transport route.

Heating hoses allow ambient temperatures of −40 ° C to +80 ° C and can be used in zones 1/21 and 2/22 (gas / dust) if designed accordingly.

A heating hose is built on a flexible basic hose through which the medium is passed. This basic hose determines the temperature resistance and chemical resistance. The heating conductor is wrapped on the basic hose and an insulation made of felt or foam as well as an outer jacket, which can consist of polyamide , silicone , steel or stainless steel braiding, depending on the application . The heating conductor is provided with a temperature sensor . Fittings and plugs on heating hoses are usually customer-specific for the installation situation.

The overall length of heating hoses is usually kept as short as possible, the nominal width varies depending on the purpose.
