Helen Issler

Helen Issler (* 1946 in Basel ) is a former deputy Swiss editor-in-chief , editor-in-chief and presenter at SF DRS , the predecessor of today's Swiss radio and television (SRF).

Life

Issler began her television career with an internship at the inland information magazine Antenne of the SF DRS broadcaster at the time. She was the first woman to do this traineeship and became the first woman to host the magazine on January 26, 1968. When she became deputy editor-in-chief Peter Studer in 1995 , she was also the first woman in this position. She directed and moderated the show Schweiz aktuell (formerly DRS aktuell). Later she was the editor-in-chief of the program Menschen Technik Wissenschaft . She retired at the end of August 2009.

She has been working as a freelance journalist and interviewer since 2010. She is also co-vice president of the Federation of Swiss Women's Organizations Alliance F .

Helen Issler is the mother of two daughters.
