Helen Meyer

Helena Franziska "Helen" Meyer (born August 31, 1920 in Zurich ; † December 21, 1998 in Fällanden ) was a Swiss politician ( CVP ) and journalist. She was a national councilor from 1972 to 1978.

Life

Meyer completed his trade diploma, then worked for a trading company and worked for the Swiss Congregation and Blue Ring Center . From 1966 she was editor of the Catholic family weekly newspaper "Sonntag".

politics

From 1970 to 1972 she was the first CVP councilor in the city of Zurich. From 1972 to 1978 she was a national councilor. In 1979 she founded the CVP cantonal women's group in Zurich with fellow campaigners and presided over it from its foundation until 1983.
