Helene Auer

Helene Auer (born April 20, 1945 in Oberwaltersdorf ) is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and employee. From 1987 to 2000 she was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Life

Auer attended a commercial school after primary and secondary school and initially worked as an accountant. In 1971 she became the state secretary for women, and from 1975 she became a local councilor in Oberwaltersdorf. She held the office of vice mayor from 1984 to 1988 and from 1994 to 1998, and from 1998 to 2008 she took over the office of mayor. In addition, she was regional women chairman of the SPÖ Lower Austria from 1998 and represented her party from December 1, 1987 to September 30, 2000 in the Lower Austrian state parliament.
