Helene Roggenbuck

Helene Roggenbuck (born June 23, 1914 - † August 12, 1995 ) was a German resistance fighter and historian.

Life

After she was already active in the communist youth movement before 1933 (e.g. the KJVD ), she personally participated in the communist resistance in the group around Willy Hielscher against National Socialism .

After the Second World War she joined the KPD and later the SED . From 1956 to 1963 she worked as a lecturer at the Institute for Social Sciences at the Central Committee of the SED . From 1963 to 1974, until her retirement , she was Professor of the History of the Labor Movement at the Humboldt University in Berlin .
