Helga Jung

Helga Jung (born 1961 in Mindelheim ) is a German business economist and was a member of the Board of Management of Allianz SE until the end of 2019 , where she was responsible for Spain, Portugal, Latin America, Group Mergers & Acquisitions, Group Legal & Compliance.

Career

From 1980 to 1982 Jung completed an apprenticeship as a bank clerk at Bayerische Hypotheken- und Wechsel-Bank . She then studied business administration at the University of Augsburg from 1982 to 1987 . This was followed by a position as a research assistant at the Chair of Auditing and Controlling at AG Coenenberg; in 1993 she did her doctorate there.

Jung had been with Allianz since 1993, initially in various positions in the finance department, then as Head of Group Mergers & Acquisitions Allianz SE / AG. From 2012, Jung was a member of the board of directors for Group Mergers & Acquisitions, Group Legal & Compliance. At the end of 2019, Jung retired after having worked for the company for more than twenty-six years. Her successor was Renate Wagner in January 2020 .
