Renate Wagner (Manager)

Renate Wagner (born September 29, 1974 in Heltau ) is a German manager . On January 1, 2020, she succeeded Helga Jung as the Board Member for Human Resources , Legal, Compliance , Mergers & Acquisitions at Allianz SE .

Career

Wagner received her diploma in mathematics from the University of Paderborn and her Master of Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. At the Westdeutsche Landesbank in Düsseldorf, she initially worked as a risk analyst until she started working as a consultant at KPMG in Munich. After further intermediate positions at DAB Bank and Zurich Insurance , where she was most recently Head of Business Performance Management, Strategic Financial Planning and Divisional Treasurer, she finally moved to Allianz in 2013, where she was Head of the CFO's Office, then Head of the Office of the CEO. In 2015 she became Regional Chief Financial Officer and Head of Life & Health Asia-Pacific, from 2019 Regional Chief Executive Officer Life & Health Asia-Pacific and Head of Human Resources. Finally, in January 2020 she succeeded Helga Jung on the Board of Management of Allianz SE, who is retiring after twenty-six years with the company.
