Helga Paschke (born September 24, 1953 in Storkow ) is a German politician of the Die Linke party .

Life

After attending the polytechnic high school (POS), Helga Paschke was a physiotherapist before graduating in 1985 with a degree in social science. In 1987 she received her doctorate. phil. of social psychology.

From 1985 to 1987 she was also a research assistant at the trade union college , chair of philosophy . She then worked from 1987 to 1990 as a lecturer in psychology and scientific methodology at the Military Science Institute.

From 1992 she finally worked as a lecturer in adult education before working as a constituency worker from 1994 to 1998 .

She is non-denominational, married and has two children.

Political party

In 1972 she joined the SED and has been a member of the PDS since 1990 or, today, the party Die Linke . Since 1994 she has been a member of the district executive committee and the district parliamentary group in Stendal . From 1994 to 1998 she was also chairman of the PDS district parliamentary group in Stendal.

From 1994 to 1999 she was a councilor in Klietz. Paschke has been chairwoman of the social committee of the Stendal district council since 2006 .

She has been a member of the State Parliament of Saxony-Anhalt since the beginning of the 3rd electoral term (1998) . She has also been in office there as Vice President of the State Parliament since May 2002. She is also a member of the Home Affairs Committee.
