Giovanni Früh (born December 3, 1937 in Zurich ; † February 25, 2003 in Sankt Augustin ) was a Swiss actor .

Life

The Ticino actor Früh completed his professional training at the stage studio in his hometown of Zurich. This was followed by stage engagements and appearances in Bonn, at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus , at the Staatstheater Stuttgart , at the Theater am Neumarkt Zurich , at the Mülheimer Theatertage and the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen. In Bonn he played Stockhausen in the world premiere of Rainald Goetz's trilogy Krieg .

In 1968, Früh made his film debut alongside Gerd Baltus in the James Bond parody Bonditis . Numerous appearances in Swiss, West German and French film and television productions followed. Early starred in Herbert Asmodi's drama Uncle Silas , directed by Wilhelm Semmelroth , alongside Manfred Krug in the adventure series On Axis ", in Hans W. Giovanni Früh became known to a wide audience through his roles in television series. In 1978 he was part of the regular cast of the ZDF crime series SOKO 5113 as "Django" Nussbaumer . From 1978 to 1981 Früh played the role of detective master before he had to leave the special commission due to incapacity.

Between 1983 and 1984 he was seen in another leading role in the ARD early evening series Links von den Pinguinen . He also made guest appearances in series such as Paris Stories .
