Helga Rammow

Helga Rammow (born March 16, 1925 in Finkenwerder ) is a German ethnologist .

Life

In 1957 she began to study ethnology and Egyptology. Franz Termer , Wolfgang Haberland and Herbert Tischner were among their teachers.

During her studies, Rammow developed a fondness for material culture and the area of ​​museum work. She completed her studies in 1964 and accepted an assistant position at the Institute for Social and Cultural Anthropology in Hamburg. In 1971 she became director of the ethnological collection of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck . She retired in 1990.
