The Free Game European Championship 1968 was the 14th tournament in this discipline of carom billiards and took place from November 28th to December 1st, 1968 in Lorient . It was the third free game European championship in France.

history

At his first free European championship, the Spaniard José Gálvez won the title. For the first time the first three of the tournament each achieved a GD of over 100 points. The tournament started with ten players. After the first game against Heinrich Weingartner , the two-time winner Henk Scholte had to end the tournament due to illness. Ludo Dielis and Klaus Hose , two later European champions, qualified for the tournament for the first time.
