Helge Hesse
Helge Hesse (born January 28, 1963 in Mettmann ) is a German screenwriter , film director and writer .
Life
Helge Hesse studied philosophy and business administration. As a screenwriter and film director, he made the short film Schwere Beute with Reinhard Schümann and Thorsten Hesse in 1996 and the short film New Shoes in 2000 in co-production with Raymond Boy .
In 2003 he published the Ökonomen-Lexikon , a reference work on entrepreneurs, politicians and thinkers in economic history and then wrote several series of articles on economic history in the Handelsblatt .
Several non-fiction books on historical, cultural and economic topics followed, including Here I stand, I can't help it: In 80 sentences through world history (2006), which has been translated into several languages. In 2012 the book Pictures Tell World History was published .
Helge Hesse lives in Düsseldorf.
