Helge Janßen

Helge Janßen (* 1939 ) is a German non-fiction and novelist .

Life

Janßen completed an engineering degree and is retired. He sailed on the Baltic Sea for around 40 years and traveled the European inland waters with his motor yacht from 2004 to 2013. Helge Janßen worked for Germany's largest charter company of sailing yachts for 15 years as a consultant in quality management and as a personal trainer.

Janßen has been writing specialist literature on sailing since 1978 . He wrote articles for the sailing magazine Yacht and is the author of twelve non-fiction books on sailing, driving and travel books. He worked on the scripts of the 80-minute television films Segeln macht frei (Part 1 and 2), which were filmed for television by NDR and first broadcast in 1985 in the third programs . In addition, by 2018 he published fourteen other books such as factual novels, a travel book with short stories and one about his life as a car fanatic and others.
