Helicópteros do Brasil ( Helibras ) is a Brazilian helicopter manufacturer and a subsidiary of Airbus Helicopters . Helibras is the market leader in Brazil.
history
The company was founded in 1978 by Aérospatiale and the local city administration. Today the company has a manufacturing facility in Itajubá, a training center in São Paulo and a maintenance facility in Rio de Janeiro .
Products
Helibras manufactures various civil and military Eurocopter helicopters in various performance classes under license. The largest type is the military helicopter NH90 with a length of 19.50 m, the smallest the light civil helicopter EC 120 with a length of 9.60 m.
