Lake Helin is located in the Norwegian municipalities of Vestre Slidre and Vang in the Fylke Innlandet . The lake feeds the Åbjøra hydropower plant .
In 1930, an area of 35 km² between the Helin and Syndin lakes was declared a "botanical national park". Today the protected area is called Helin Plantepark .
