Helix is an anonymizer ( tumbler ) for Bitcoin transactions that is operated exclusively in the Tor network . This acts as a service of the darknet search engine Grams . The anonymization is achieved by initially exchanging deposited amounts for "untouched" Bitcoins, mixing them ( tumbling ) and then paying them out with a time delay and in random partial amounts to the stored Bitcoin address (es). A user account is not absolutely necessary for the service.
