Grams was a product search engine operated exclusively as a hidden service in the Tor network . Product listings from several darknet markets were indexed; A dealer search was also possible. Design, operation and functionality were based heavily on Google .

The reason for the development by an anonymous programmer was continuous product and dealer inquiries on Reddit and various Internet forums .
