The Church of the Holy Spirit (Danish Helligåndskirken ) is a Lutheran parish church in Copenhagen city center .
history
Up until the Reformation, the church, built around 1300, belonged to a Catholic monastery. During the city fire in 1728, the original furnishings in the church interior were destroyed, but were replaced by 1732.
The outbuilding of the church is the largest completely preserved medieval structure in the city. It is used today for exhibitions and events.
The Church of the Holy Spirit is particularly connected to the Greenlandic community of Copenhagen. There is a service in Greenlandic once a month .

organ
The organ was built in 1879 by the organ builder Knud Olsen. In 1986 the instrument was restored and expanded by the organ builder Marcussen & Søn (Appenrade). Today the organ has 75 registers on four manuals and a pedal . The Spieltrakturen are mechanically, the Registertrakturen electrically. The instrument is equipped with a large electronic setting system.
