The Filottrano helmet is a helmet and a protective weapon from Italy.
description
The helmet of Filottrano consists of bronze and iron . He was found in the Celtic burial ground of Filottrano in Italy at the beginning of the 20th century . The helmet is made of bronze, the helmet shell is half-round and has several decorative grooves. A decoration in the form of a coin is attached to the front just above the edge of the helmet . On top of the helmet a semicircular bulge is expelled , which is significantly smaller in circumference than the rest of the helmet. A helmet ornament is attached to the helmet, which resembles horns or some kind of antenna . The cheek flaps are triangular, which is only used on Celtic helmets, and studded with thick bronze rivets.
